No sleep, no silence, no laughter
No cows, no vegetation, no water
Only bones and stick like figures
God when will all this be over
Mother, the baby is crying againMother the cows are dead
Mother has no time to rest

The leaders are busy campaigning
How will we survive in this famine?
We need some aid from the government

Each morning is the same
No hope, gets worse by the day
God when will all this end
Thank God aid has come
The people have stood up for others
There is now a glimmer of hope
God indeed you are great
The people for the land
With or without the government
No more deaths, no more hunger
Kenyans for Kenya indeed
God answers our prayers
